A Scottish University has developed a technique/algorithm, implemented in the Physical Layer in either software or hardware, which greatly improves the Quality of Service (QoS) for high data rate broadband users (e.g. real-time video, audio & file downloads). It is particularly useful within extremely rapid multi-path mobile environments such as cars/buses/trains, as well as within rate adaptive xDSL. Mobile operators are sought to test, implement and validate the technology to take to market.
