A Belgian university has developed a portable device for muscular rehabilitation and evaluation. It offers various exercise modes similar to existing commercial devices. Characterized by a lower cost and a higher compactness, it can be used either at the physiotherapist practice or at the patient home. It interacts with laptop and PDA interfaces for control and monitoring purposes. The proto is ready for a tech transfer through a license agreement or joint development with an industrial partner.
