A Swiss company in textile industry is developing a new continuous plasma coating process for fibres metallisation (large range of metals - mainly silver). The treated fibres keep their textile properties during the metallisation process, but they also get new properties like electric conductivity, antistatic-, thermal- and also antibacterial effect. A large field of applications, like sensors, are possible. Partners from the textile field are sought to scale it up and make it industrial.
