A Polish university has developed a new method of improving fatigue life of welded joints. The main task of this method is to adapt all requirements included in the FITNET ( FITness-for-service-NETwork) procedures to typical joints used in rail vehicles or marine vehicles. This method eliminates distortions caused by welding and other technological processes.The university is looking for technical support to test new applications and welcomes all partners interested in joint further development.
