Slovenian researchers developed a process for manufacturing homogenously reinforced interior construction plates made from synthetic gypsum (by-product from flue gas desulphurization - FGD) and wooden chips. The main advantage and innovation is the usage of fresh waste wood (chips or whiskers) in the process of plate production. This allows the production of plates in 10 minutes on continuous press at moderate pressure of 1 bar. Partners for industrial development of the product are sought.
