An institute of a German university specialised in low-pressure microwave plasmas has developed plasma processes applicable at the industrial level for surface treatment and coating, convenient for different kinds of solar cells. The plasma coatings provide pinhole-free electrical insulation barriers and are applicable for encapsulation and surface passivation. Adhesion improvement is procurable by plasma surface treatment. The institute is looking for partners for technical co-operation.
