Title: Flexible sensor for easy touch-point localisation made of inexpensive films
Location:Austria
Ref no:08 AT 0102 0J03
Rating:
Abstract
Researchers of an Austrian University developed a touch sensor based on the ferroelectric properties of thin polymer foam films for use as touch pad, in touch-screens, keyboards and others. Advantages are its exceptional flexibility, sensitivity, the low cost of the material and the simplicity of the controller evaluation. The film is transparent and/or printable.

They are looking for industrial partners to develop marketable products based on the technology as well as companies for testing.
