Two German research centres have jointly developed a new method for analysing neurite outgrowth. It can be used for testing chemicals in order to determine their effects on the nervous system. The method is simpler than conventional methods and requires neither fixation nor staining of cells. The research centres are looking for partners from the pharma industry for licensing the technology and/or research collaboration.
