A Spanish university has developed a new method for detecting glycogen consisting in an introduction of a glucose fluorescent indicator in the glycogen. The advantage of this method is its possibility to be performed on homogenates or on live cells obtained from organs or cell cultures. It makes possible to evaluate effects of different drugs over the glycogen, evaluate pathologies, etc. The university is looking for a license agreement.
