An Italian research institute has developed an intelligent visual system able to monitor indoor and outdoor areas in order to prevent dangerous and illegal activities in archaeological sites and museum. The system is able to automatically: detect, localize and track people in the monitored areas; recognize their activities, detect human intrusion into forbidden areas; send acoustic and visual alarms to alert the guardians.
