A Flemish University (Belgium) has developed an active exhaust silencer for internal combustion engines. Compared to a passive exhaust system, the active silencer reduces noise up to 13 dB, requires less space and consumes less energy. The research group is looking for technical collaboration to further industrial development of the silencer. In conjunction, a cold engine test rig as well as a design and modeling tool are offered for new silencer co-development projects.
