A German University has developed a new smart brake concept for road and rail vehicles or aircrafts. It is based on a self-energising electro-hydraulic brake system and needs neither external hydraulic power nor electrical energy. The system is furthermore simple and safe and consists of few components. A prototype is available. Industrial partners are sought for licensing and further development.
