German and Ukrainian universities developed a new double-beam polarisation prism. This consists of one naturally grown bicrystal with a naturally formed inner connecting wall. This bicrystal growth as a unified whole gives an ideal polarisation prism and fulfils the most demanding quality requirements at low production costs. Companies from the wider optical sector are sought who are interested in the further co-development for industrial application or in buying either the patent or a license.
