A UK inventor has patented a monitoring device designed for protecting empty houses from intruders. The device uses one or more covert transmitters in a property to register suspicious sounds indicative of a break-in. A receiver located in the neighbouring house alerts the neighbour enabling them to call the Police without the intruder being aware. The developer is seeking to partnerships for commercial exploitation through licensing and other means.
