2 French laboratories have developed a system for measuring permeability in porous media with a hot ball anemometer. It is based on a model-set and works by comparison with reference data, whatever the nature of substrate constituting the porous medium. A very wide range of reliable measurements is possible in strongly permeable media. This process is hardier and cheaper than other existing technologies. Partners are sought for finalising the prototype development and commercialise the device.
