A German institute specialised in microwave plasmas has developed atmospheric plasma processes applicable on industrial level for efficient gas treatment. Both decomposition of (waste) gases, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in particular, and pyrolysis of hydrocarbons to produce hydrogen have been successfully tested. Gas synthesis is another field of application. The institute is looking for industrial partners for technical co-operation.
