An Austrian university offers a technology for the simple production of a completely new compound class called Vinylmelamines. Melamines create hardwearing and durable surfaces. The innovative aspect here is the N-vinylation of the amino groups of melamine. The insertion of double bonds allows polymerization reactions in addition to the known reactions of melamine systems. The university is looking for industrial partners interested in further developing and/or commercializing these compounds.
